Is does remind me of the Canadian guy who started Occupy Wall Street. HE had an interesting idea about economic growth: the common wisdom is economic health is indicated by growth, his idea was low/no growth economic models would work better. Constant growth isn’t indefinitely sustainable. Interesting ideas but unfortunately we don’t have the culture here for them to take root.

When I used to put $20 of quarters into an arcade game, I got many fewer hours of entertainment, and less joy to my life, than I now get from a $1 app… but it counted as 20 times as much contribution to GDP.
