Still not clear why the GOP insists that AQ was behind it. Guess that’s part of some larger conspiracy claiming that the administration knew of an impending attack based on some alleged yet unknown intel chatter.

The RW narrative is so contradictory and screwed-up, it’s hard to make sense of it. But I think we’re supposed to believe the Obama administration needed to say they were beating Al Qaeda to get reelected, so they covered up evidence that Al Qaeda was involved.

It’s completely fucking batshit insane to think any president would cover up something like that, that could have been easily revealed to be false. But that’s how the right is these days. They’re just out there on planet Uranus.
