re: #111 Kragar (Proud to be Kafir)

This sucks. I’m used to be a fairly energetic emtional guy. Now when I start getting worked up about anything, I can feel my chest pains kicking in and all the other symptoms the Docs told me were an anxiety attack and to avoid. I feel like I’m being forced to muzzle myself. I’m supposed to be starting some meds next week to help reduce those feelings, but I’m scared about the side effects.

Again, this fucking sucks

Kragar, go for the meds. Anxiety attacks suck, doubly so if they mimic a heart attack - or trigger one! I’ve seen the meds work just great for people. You might actually like them, give you a little more detachment, let you be cooler and stay that way without becoming the kung fu master, real better living thru chemistry, good ol’ SSRIs, could probably find some herbal or dietary equivalents, probably, you might even try switching out to those after a while, if you’re happy with the results, or if you’re not.
