Do any of you guys or anyone you know pronounce h in wh- words? Like “hwite”, “hwat”, “cool hwip”? It was a minor shock for me hwen I learned that it is supposed to be the proper pronunciation by some

eh, I mostly experience a silent “h” in those words when I’m talking or listening to others.

But to return to another topic (names) - the odd names I was mostly ever familiar with were Asian Indian - one guy I worked with had the last name of Supatanasinkasem. I learned to say it AND SPELL IT. Of course, I only learned to say it once somebody pointed out the name was very much like “Super Tanker Sink or Swim”.
