Netanyahu had a choice, and he chose to cynically misrepresent (lie about) the President’s proposal by omission, and behind the scenes it did infuriate the administration. TPM is saying that Netanyahu exploited the media hoax, which is absolutely true.

I’m not so sure about that. He could have done more to dispel it but the same could be said of Obama too. The headlines were obviously bogus to anyone who’s been paying attention so maybe it just wasn’t considered a big deal to insiders.
