It’s a rather screwed up situation at the moment. Between the shortage in staff and the holidays, the FNG (i.e. me) is catching the shifts that nobody else wants to work. I’m only one of three guys who’s trained to handle graveyard at the hotel, one has a second job which means he can’t work Mondays, and the third decided he was taking the entire week off. Thankfully I have tomorrow off, and the only other day I work graveyard this week is Thanksgiving.

Hotel? Sounds familiar for some funny reason :D That said, hang in there. The holidays are always bastard crazy unless you’re as lucky as I was in the Army. I had a friend who was a good observant Jew. I worked his holy days and he worked mine. It really doesn’t get better than that and both of us learned about the other’s lives.
