Rachel Maddow had a piece yesterday explaining that Alabama Republicans, instead of across the border to panhandle Florida like you guys, are flying to places like Ohio and canvassing there. She made a good point that going to Florida makes sense, similar cultures, and familiar accents would be welcome there, but that a bunch of AL Republicans reinforcing stereotypes in Dayton Ohio isn’t going to sell all that well.

Anyway it looks like the ‘Bama GOP is going to wait two more weeks before mobilizing. Registrations will be long closed by the time they get there so they’ve really missed what could be the most crucial part of the game. Also, when they do go to Florida it’s going to be Jacksonville, for four days only.

Heh. Yeah, I lurk their website. Even as individuals, wife and i planned this 6 mos ago. The Dem effort to get help into FL is very well organized and executed. We even have bragging-rights competitions between SEC states to provide the most manhours.

Feels weird to type ‘Dem’ and ‘well-organized’.
