I know I keep mentioning meeting up with fellow Democrats. You said things were slow because the primary is over, but there have to be Dem clubs and orgs.

When I moved down here, it was extremely lonely—and, because all of my work is out of state, there weren’t very many opportunities to interact with other people. Other than my next-door neighbor, I pretty much knew nobody until I hooked up with fellow Democrats. Went to some meetings and got involved. They were really welcoming (particularly here, where Dems are a rare, endangered species) and it was really easy to get involved. And trust me, they are really excited when young people show up!

(Stanley Sea can attest to how much fun hanging with Dems down here can be!)

I know it’s not the be all end all solution, but it might be worth a try.

I had the best time. Of course Beach Dem was everything you’d expect. Cool. Nice. PLU (an old one, “people like us”) But yes, the group of Democrats in SC were the best. If I lived there, they I have no doubt, would be my greatest friends. Miss you BD.
