re: #140 celticdragon

No one protested too loudly in the past when all of this took place. We have reached our limit. Thousands of phone calls will be made, and protesters will show up. Lots of them. They can only ignore us when we are willing to be ignored. The governor is running for re-election this year, and has very little chance of winning. If he does this, he has zero chance of winning, and how will it ultimately affect Obama’s numbers? He and the democrats will lose Massachusetts forever. Yankees have long memories, an abundance of pride and are stubborn like you can’t believe. We know we have been screwed, and we remember all of it.
Obama has gone too far, even for Massachusetts with his unprecedented power grabs, and if Sen. Brown wins this election, and Obama, Patrick and Galvin try to stop his being seated, it will be devastatingly costly to democrats for a long, long time.
