I get your reply, but it takes things further than the purchase. Certainly there are guns that are so rare they are not fired. I myself don’t equate public paid & built roads with privately owned and run shooting ranges. Annual car registration is just a tax. It has nothing to do with safety or knowing who owns the car.

Insurance might be a good idea, but we have no right to bear a car. Gets a little dicey in the law. Hunting of course does require a license, tags, and usually training like the Hunter Safety class.

Sorry none of that passes muster as good argument. See my comment about getting arrested for drunk driving in your driveway. Let’s invert your specious hypothetical, how many people do you know who have a car that has never and will never have it’s wheels on a public street?
