The difference is that with Covid-19 everyone in the country is going to either know someone that died or have a friend that knows someone who died. This makes it a thousand times more personal.

They will try and lie about the numbers, but they can’t put 150,000* bodies in a memory hole.

* is my guess of how many dead in US by Covid by election day.
