I haven’t gone to the SF Gay Pride Parade in 15 years. Why? It saddens me to see them allow groups carrying “Israel—OUT OF PALESTINE” banners to march in the parade. Especially since Homosexuality is punishable by DEATH under Hamas law, and that Israel is the only country in the mid-east that guarantees some legal protection for gays and lesbians. Basically the SF gays are allowing a group to march in their parade that advocates death for gays.

Yes. Cognitive dissonance. Last year, the parade was crashed by some jerks chanting “Intifada, intifada”. Apparently the San Francisco JCRC knew this was a possibility but decided not to keep the parade crashers out in order to “maintain the peace.” That’s why this year SFVoice4Israel is marching on its own - last year all the Jewish/Zionist orgs marched in one huge contingent. When we found out that SF JCRC purposely took no action to keep the anti-Zionist crashers out, we were infuriated. Par for the course though. The JCRC also downplayed the Port of Oakland thing and discouraged any pro-Israel groups from attending.
