As we saw with Bill Clinton, Republicans are perfectly capable of coming up with a legal justification for impeachment, even if they have to invent it.

The “lying to a grand jury” over a freaking blowjob justification for impeaching Clinton was the flimsiest of flimsy excuses, but it was all they needed.

I was too young to really grasp how flimsy the Clinton impeachment was. It’s interesting how age and wisdom changes my perspective.
