another way to view it is that those elected officials actually gain by more people being dependent on gov’t, either through gov’t jobs (take a look at the last employement numbers) or gov’t services.

In all my 57 years, I’ve never been hired by a poor person. Even when I owned my own small business(es) it was people that had money that “hired” me
