re: #155 Fenway_Nation

I was in the grocery store earlier tonight and I saw a display case full of DVDs out of the corner of my eye as I walked past. They looked like a new release (dozens of copies of the same DVD) and when I cocked my head and stopped for a moment, I saw that they were all for 0bama’s innauguration. If my first instinct was to kick over that display case and keep walking, does that mean I’m not well?

/I did take some satisfaction in the fact that there were so many of them and they didn’t seem to be selling at all

The other night I was in a Barnes and Noble. In the front of the store, a display table was set up, all covered with various books and newspapers featuring Barack Obama. There was a big “BARACK OBAMA” sign displayed. I made a snide remark, sort of out loud, and the woman behind the counter heard me. She started laughing. I looked over and I said, “It’s just TOO MUCH, you know?”

She said, “Yeah, I know what you mean…he’s okay with me, but it’s out-of-hand. Imagine what it’s like to work in a book store!”

I just wonder what some of these retailers (I’m talking about management) are thinking. They don’t apparently care that probably half their customers didn’t support him, and are sick to death of seeing his mug plastered all over the place.
