re: #155 I Would Prefer Not To
The difference is that with Covid-19 everyone in the country is going to either know someone that died or have a friend that knows someone who died. This makes it a thousand times more personal.
They will try and lie about the numbers, but they canāt put 150,000* bodies in a memory hole.
* is my guess of how many dead in US by Covid by election day.
Iām not an expert by any means but Iām getting the feeling that we will hit that second wave in stride by the end of June or around the 4th of July (Imagine Clownstickās meltdown if he canāt have a NĆ¼rnburg Reichsparteitag on the 4th) at that point deaths-per-day nationwide will be likely higher than the peak in April was and accelerating. I might be being optimistic though. Could be earlier and worse.
Iām having trouble seeing how much longer after that point the clowns can pretend āopening upā was a good idea. If things havenāt already started to turn around by November, it will be fucking a apocalyptic bloodbath and in the millions (multi) of deaths. If wave 2 has a August/September-ish peak, maaaaaaybe the number of deaths can be kept under 1 million.
Again, Iām not an expert. Just a reasonably intelligent person with a degree in Computer Science and a genuine interest in all areas of science whoās really tired of bullshit.
