In reference to the supply line, this is truly troubling and for more than one reason. A few months ago, when Russia and Georgia collided, we had people here advocating an immediate attack on Russia to aid Georgia. I tried to inject in the conversation a little “wait and see” before playing Field Marshall, see if Georgia survives, see how far the Russians were going to take it, but there were many many who wanted to send carriers and troops immediately. Not one, that I can remember, mentioned or gave a thought to a land-locked NATO force heavily dependent on supply lines through Pakistan and Russia. I don’t trust Putin as far as I can throw him, and I expect the untrustworthy Russian regime to use this politically against the West.

rec1c4 was one of those who thought it through. He wante dto attack Russia’s supply lines into Georgia, which is the same trick the Taliban is using against us. And it’s a good tactic that makes good military sense. What I’m wondering is if we have a counter move we can use.
