Because the people who exposed Rather’s fraud are just faceless right wing demons in the film. People with no names, who don’t matter. Dan Rather and Mary Mapes are portrayed as misunderstood heroes, courageous journalists unfairly brought down by a right wing lynch mob.

So you refused permission to be portrayed in the film Charles? Interesting that CBS is refusing to run ads for it when it portrays Rather and Mapes positively.
