Chicago has a bit of a reputation for police brutality, so they numbers might be higher. I was using it because DF was from there.

From the standpoint of justified vs unjustified, I don’t have the breakdown for every police shooting this year. No handy summaries turned up on Google.Chicago has paid out 200 million in brutality and wrongful arrest suits between 2000 and 2007 though. That’s a little under 3,000 dollars per year per officer, which strikes me as high.
