A local radio guy went to the Korean border and the little shack where the armistice was signed. You could actually cross the line set up separating North and South but they made you hold hands to keep you from being grabbed. He had cool pics. Both sides have “stare downs” from their guards on the border.

They were still doing that in the 80’s, minus the hand-holding. Wife and two older kids went around the table, so I guess they can claim Nork for their Century Club. I got to be a civilian staff wienie ‘MP’ on a DMZ daylight patrol, with an armband and kevlar over my suit.
