My WAMU has an open aspect. Tellers are at free standing podiums. If there’s a cash transaction it’s handled by an ATM like machine in the wall. Teller’s don’t have any cash, except what you’ve given them to count, then you stick it in the machine.

My California Coast Credit Union branch has the tellers in a separate room. You interface via CCTV and phone handsets and pass things back and forth through pneumatic tubes.
