There was this super diner in Oakland when I was in college. We’d go to study there at weird hours of the night, because they had pie, and would let us light Santeria candles on the table (don’t ask).

The only thing was, you couldn’t go to the bathroom, because when we were there, the rest of the place was filled with hookers and cops coming off-shift, and we were afraid to be alone in the ladies’ room with the hookers.

also reminds me of my local karaoke bar’s rear bathroom which has hosted more than its share of cocaine enthusiasts
