Do you think it was an inevitably doomed project? I have a hard time imagining conservative and liberal bloggers all sharing the same space in today’s hyper-partisan political environment. I applaud the goal but maybe it was too impractical.

I don’t think the backers ever intended to follow through on the plans.

At this point, though, I agree it’s not going to happen. Partly as a result of the craziness spread by sites like PJ Media, the right wing has totally lost its mind.
