How about the father who was an atheist and did not want his daughter to say the pledge of allegiance?
Who’s right is getting taken away in that circumstance?
Wasn’t that just an ugly custody battle, in the end?
The closest I can think of any atheist wanting rights taken away from the religious is people who think that churches et al. don’t deserve to be tax-free. I’d disagree with that, but I would say that churches should be a hell of a lot more apolitical than they have been over the past decade.
