Oops. I stand corrected.

I do know that before they were Sparks, they were Halfnelson - and Todd Rundgren produced that album (and pleaded with them not to change their name, to no avail).

Rundgren’s then boss Albert Grossman (famous as Bob Dylan’s manager) suggested the name “Sparx Brothers” as their Halfnelson album wasn’t selling. Saprks was the compromise name…has stuck for 40 years and 21 albums.
