Well, the other day I was talking to the sun god Apollo, and he denies that solar cells heat the ambient area, says it’s not like he’s going to shine any hotter just because some fool sets up a panel.

well, last time i checked, they were dark, aka black, the better to absorb your homeboy’s precious bodily fluids for conversion into electricity.

however, they only convert x percentage of that energy into juice (the other kind) and therefore, all the other absorbed energy is converted into what?

my guess is heat. YMMV, but if i put a black panel out in a desert that is otherwise all light colors, it’s gonna be the hottest thing out there. that’s why when we’d go to Irwin, we’d put black water cans on top of the vehicles, when we had water at all, to take a field shower, and keep our drinking water in the tan ones so the water would stay near the ambient 120* or so for drinking….. and we’d only shower at twilight, so we didn’t burn the crap out of ourselves.
