Nor I. I lived in England for a while, and found pound coins very convenient.

But Americans do not like dollar coins. We will not use them. We collect them, but we don’t use them. We seem to have some deeply ingrained dislike of them, and there it is.

Also, as someone pointed out above, they always come out about the same size as a quarter.
