The question this whole time was whether there was a “smoking gun” tying Trump directly to the mis-handling of the documents. We all knew there were documents at Mar-a-Grifto; we all knew they weren’t secured properly; we all knew that various underlings were moving them around on his orders. The question was whether there was evidence that he, personally, said or did something that indicated intent, the key element of the crime. Well, here we are. At this point, the case seems fairly open-and-shut, though as usual, I am not a lawyer.
