Me too. The difference between Bill Kristol and Charles Krauthammer on Egypt is one of tactics. The difference between them and Glenn Beck is one of first principles. Kristol’s column honestly did change my mind on the situation: If conservatives are going to hold true to their principles, we have to support movement towards democracy. Liberals do, too. Yes, there is risk, but I now realize that in this case hypocrisy would actually be its own risk and a serious form of failure.
