Hi Cato! I’ll second that. It’s one of my favorite movies - and the books were wonderful. Crowe worked for me as Jack Aubrey, but I had a little trouble with Paul Bettany as Maturin (who in the books is quite homely). Bettany is a little too handsome for the role.

(There’s talk about a sequel, but we’ll see.)

Maturin, in the books, is described as so homely that no one can fathom Diana’s sexual obsession with him.
