re: #176 Kruk
More on the plan to strip citizenship from the children of illegal immigrants. What I love is the claim that it’ll survive constitutional challenge because “we’ll write it right”. How the heck do you twist the words of the 14th Ammendment around so that someone born in the US isn’t a citizen?

Been reading about that. Their argument is that to the Founding Fathers, there were not undocumented immigrants, or illegal ones, just settlers.
As far as I know, the USA is the only country that allows such a thing, and it serves as a major magnet for attracting illegal immigrants.
I will go out on a limb here and say that I would not oppose instituting such a measure but ONLY if it were part of a comprehensive and effective package of immigration legislation reform.
