One year, for my birthday, my inlaws gave me one of those cards that plays music. In this case, it was a bunch of cats meowing the happy birthday song.

Our cats were so confused by this. Whenever I played it, one would come and start looking for the cats, meowing back at them.

I still have it somewhere.

That happened when somebody got me that “Jingle Cats” cd. Both of them ran over to the speakers, looking at them, tapping the speakers, poking behind them for the poor trapped kitties. The funniest part was when they came running over to me, started meowing, pawing at my leg, and looking back at the speakers, like “Dad, get them out of there”.

I felt so guilty.
