I was nauseated, but relieved, when it turned out it was NOT OK.

The whole thing was just ugly-sad for me. Ploomie Himni (spelled as best as I can remember) advanced that utterly vile idea and then could not be persuaded she was wrong even though at least seven other posters tried to explain it to her (including both you and I). Charles banned her and the foolish jerk who agreed with her. I was glad he did, but I wish she had not let her rage become her master like that. It turned from a defender of civilization, into someone who would destroy it in order to destroy the barbarians threatening it, a ‘barn-burner’ par excellance.
