I haven’t been to any casinos in a little while- but instead, I put down a few hundred $$$ towards stock in a utility….which would be my first ever stock purchase. I’ve given up on precious metals for the time being (thanks Ear Leader/Fresh Prince of Bill Ayers) and figure I might as well put my money on something relatively (<— key word) safe for the time being. I figure no matter how bad the economy gets, people are still gonna need electricity, plus this company announced they were maintaining its dividend last week (a deal-breaker for me).

If the stock completely tanks, I figure I’m still better off having it tank at $16-$17 a share than when it was at $25 a share….

/shopping around for some oil companies next….
