Does anybody speak Obama? I don’t quite know what that means. Is he suggesting the image of the United States defeating the WWII-era Japanese (the same Japanese that perpetrated the Bataan Death March, the Rape of Nanking, and caught infants on the tips of bayonets) is a negative one?

My dad was on Iwo Jima. This bothers me.

I don’t think that’s what he meant. I think he’s trying to imply that the end of this war will NOT look like the end of WW2 … no neat formal treaty, etc. I am ignoring the historical goof vis-a-vis Hirohito.
