What exactly recommends Bennett? He’s a staunch supporter on the War on Drugs, when we imprison a higher percentage of our population than the Soviet Union did, a very large number of those for drug crimes.

He’s staunchly opposed to gay marriage, when the national mood is becoming more and more accepting of it every day.

At a time when America is going through a sort of catharsis on race that includes some ugly elements bubbling to the surface, he has declared racism over.

What makes him the man to get the GOP back on course?
