I like real meat off the grill, otherwise, I am fine with substitutes, soy granulate in a pasta sauce or chili, for example. And I really like the fake sausage mix they market in the UK and always ask people to bring it back over with them.

Still have not tried out any of the artificially grown substitutes on the market.

The EU is dragging its ass on this, partly because the regulatory process for foods is slow, but I’d assume mostly that the governments are dreading the reaction from the European ag industry, who IMO are more politically powerful than the US ag industry. I’m sure we’ll get tonnes of cowshit dumped on legislature lawns on a regular basis and tractors blocking the highways.
