That happened to a former client of mine. He saw a coon in his big old trash bin. Thought the little critter needed some help getting out as he couldn’t figure out how he got in. So, he took a tree limb and when he put it in, the little criminal ran up the limb, bit him and took off. It was so fast the guy didn’t know what happened.

Rabies shots were in order. Painful rabies shots. They are automatic for racoon bites, no stopping them if the docs find out what happened.

Jeez, what an ingrate! A bite for a boost out of the trash bin!
In her case, she was trying to get the raccoon away from her dog and it devolved into a human-raccoon brawl. She couldn’t get the better of the raccoon until she got holt of a back leg and flung it over the fence.
I now know that I should never fight a raccoon.
