Yes, there are some pretty diehard Sowell supporters. Yet I suspect they are reading one of his books from years ago.

The problem for Sowell is that in the world of Beck and Limbaugh there isn’t much of a market for long, scholarly pieces. So he has to compete, and jumps on the bandwagon and tells the people what they want to hear.

I have the same beef with VDH and some others. They’ve sold out whatever academic credibility they might have had for the fool’s gold of wingnut attention.
