I think that they set it up so that no crime was committed. They only asked whether they could vote under a dead persons name, but didn’t actually try to do so?

What they showed is that if someone intended to, they could conceivably have committed a crime.

This is what he thinks is “investigative journalism.”

A smart prosecutor could easily point out that even asking for the ballot was intent to commit the crime.
