You could also try adding maybe a tablespoon of arrowroot powder or corn starch to the filling to thicken it. But this shouldn’t be necessary.

I was thinking of adding a Tbsp of cornstarch to the filling the next time I make pecan pie.

Here in Israel, they add chunks of butternut squash and sweet potatoes to the chicken soup. Yummy!
