This. Remember that George W. Bush soured on Putin a great deal after Russia moved against Georgia in 2008. That doesn’t come up much, mostly because GWB has kept a low profile since leaving office, but he’s made it clear enough.

Sure, Putin’s destruction of democracy in Russia was nothing. Not a cause to “sour up” on him or anything. And “moving against Georgia” was completely unpredictable, LOL.
