Folks,
I registered on this site a long time ago, and almost never post, but do enjoy checking in from time to time and reading - though I think it’s been over a year since I’ve posted anything, and I get the sense that there have been some changes around here…

I am hesitatant to contribute now. Last time I did, my post was misunderstood and I got beat up.

Anyway, can somebody point me to a link or a thread that explains some of the jargon used on this site? Karma? Sarc tag? Up/Down Ding? Lizards, Trolls, Sock Puppets, etc…? Some kind of primer on the world of LGF perhaps?

I’m relatively new, so i feel ya. karma - accumulated goodwill through positive posting (or witty, funny…just not trollish or needlessly insulting)
up/down ding - the plus/minus you see to approve or disapprove of a post. you need to have posted 50 times to gain the ability to up or downding.
sarc tag - usually a backslash - your comment was meant to be sarcastic

Charles has a good definition of trolls and sock puppets somewhere here, but those terms are fairly constant across the internet.
