I don’t disagree that some rightists (perhaps only a few, I would argue probably a larger part than most rightists would like to admit) want to do violence to the P/VPOTUS (either at a purely masturbatory/aspirational level or on an operational one) but party affiliation proves nothing and means nothing. It’s dirty pool to pretend otherwise.

The pool is dirty because it is entirely populated by right wing violence fetishists. They may not be your sort of republican, but they cannot be wished away.
