Yep. I love how all those 50’s sci-fi movies are really about Cold War paranoia and fear of nukes.

Like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Although neither the author of the novel nor the director intended it that way, it’s got all these creepy overtones that suggest it’s about the fear of Communists among us.
