think the current deepest depth they have gotten a ROV is about the 4 mile mark in the Mariana trench. At those depths pressure becomes insane for most equipment and send a manned craft is likely impossible with current techs.

Triste went all the way to the bottom of the Marianas Trench in 1960…..
