As KT tried to show early on, the Paulians were the important initiators of Tea Party-ism. That the anarchist-sympathizers now find kin with Tea Partiers would not be a total shock.

The religious right sort of came to the Tea Party late, and tried to make it a God and Country type of thing.

There are several people out there now who claim to be part of the Tea Party founding fathers.

The one person that seems to bridge them all is Sarah Palin! This isn’t surprising, as her affiliations with the Alaska Independence Party puts her right next to Ron Paul, and her RR following puts her right next to Focus on the Family. Thus Sarah Palin is all things to all Tea Partiers.

Chomsky no doubt sees the Tea Partiers as a way to put himself back in the news.
