Absolutely. It’s no different than the push (Thanks to Jonah Goldberg, the Pantload) to call liberal fascists or totalitarian.
Similarly, listen to Glnn Bk. He’ll say Obama is a ‘socialist communist Marxist’ .
It’s basically about stringing together words intended to frighten people, with no regard for the meanings of those words.

I disagree on Goldberg’s book — I think he makes a very good case concerning the relationship between the American left in the 1920s and fascism. It’s more than just two words.

He has, however, said that in retrospect he didn’t like the subtitle. And the dust cover image wasn’t his first choice either, but the publisher almost always wins on those fights.
