The problem with your reasoning is that it’s based on the idea that the average American pays even a fraction of the attention to what’s going on that people like us do.

Obama’s going to spend his entire administration (however long it lasts) blaming Bush for every bad thing that happens, and the vast majority of the public will simply accept it at face value, because the MSM will echo and amplify his talking points for him.

I couldn’t agree with you more. However, the growing popularity of blogs like LGF makes me somewhat hopeful that the word is gradually starting to get out. I know in my few years of reading and commenting here, I have been able to steer more than a few folks in LGF’s direction. Multiply that by however many intelligent Lizards we have here, add a dash of time and the tide could turn. I’m an optimist at heart and I do think that America will wake up eventually. The problem is, it will take a massive amount of pain, and economic coronary, for this to happen. I don’t see much good news on the horizon but maybe this is just what America needs, another Jimmy Carter to jolt us back into reality.
