Yes, he’s drilled land, regular Gulf wells and deepwater.

He actually is still employed; his company is keeping their most experienced folks.
If his company is chosen as the mud company for some of those leases, I expect some of their employees will end up there; maybe the Roi as well. That would be a LOT better than Brazil or Nigeria.

When the recession hit, Alberta’s oil sand work took a dive but because we had just started a growth spurt and much of our oil is untapped our oil industry kept growing, albeit at a reduced rate. As Canada recovers from the recession demand for workers here is growing.

You might want to do a little research for Canadian jobs if it looks like the Roi will end up in Brazil. At least keep an open mind about it.
